Regulations Seminar: Avoid Fines Related to New Oil Tank

Original Energy invites you to attend this informative seminar presented by
Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP).

The state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has started enforcing regulatory changes that affect petroleum bulk storage (PBS) tanks, which include the indoor oil tanks in the basements of multifamily buildings.   Many owners are unaware of the regulatory changes, particularly the new definition of underground storage tank which now includes tanks that were formerly defined as above ground.  Some owners have already experienced enforcement actions based on this change that resulted in violations and monetary penalties of $7,500 or more.  This seminar will review the regulatory changes and owners’ compliance responsibilities.  A representative from DEC will be on the panel. Join us to get ahead of the enforcement curve and stay compliant.
